WEST VILLAGE - Uptown's Downtown!
West Village, designed by nationally known architect, David M. Schwarz & Associates of Washington, D.C., opened in the Summer of 2001, as a joint development endeavor between Phoenix Property Company and Urban Partners, Inc., both based in Dallas.
Originally containing 125,000 square feet and 42 carefully selected shops, restaurants, and the Magnolia Art House Cinema, the West Village District has progressed naturally over the past 12 years in affiliation with Cityplace Company. Soon to break ground on its 5th expansion with a scheduled completion date of Fall 2014, the West Village Retail District will incorporate a GLA (Gross Leasable Area) of over 250,000 square feet and close to 100 interesting shops, restaurants and personal care retailers.
Located in the center of Dallas' most vibrant neighborhood - Uptown, West Village is often pertained to as, "UPTOWN 'S DOWNTOWN"-- Dallas' most walkable shopping, dining and residential district" and is served by DART's Red and Blue Lines at the Uptown Station and the Historic McKinney Avenue Trolley.
